Who Allis Electric is

Allis Electric (1514.TW) is a Taiwan heavy-electrical and power-electronics supplier to utilities, semiconductor fabs, telecom, rail, and industrial users. It is not on NVIDIA's published 800 VDC partner list, and the Q1 2026 call did not mention 800 V, HVDC, SST, or a DC distribution board. Allis is in this collection as a facility-power name: the switchgear and transformers that stand up a fab or an IDC room.

Three plants split the work. Yangmei (about 11,000 ping) builds heavy electrical — switchgear, transformers, transmission and distribution gear. Xinzhuang (about 3,600 ping) builds power electronics: telecom rectifiers (SMR), UPS, and PV inverters. Xizhi builds special-purpose UPS and has seen orders rise with AI data-center cooling rooms.

Business mix

Standing end-markets rather than a single AI line:

  • Taipower and public infrastructure — GIS, transformers, smart switchgear, STATCOM, rail. Taipower's ten-year grid-resilience programme is a NT$564.5bn backdrop.
  • Semiconductor — transformers and switchgear into domestic fabs and their overseas sites. This has become the growth mix.
  • IDC / telecom — substation gear for computer rooms, built on earlier Chunghwa Telecom IDC substation work, plus UPS.
  • Power electronics — SMR, UPS, PV inverters, and containerised storage.

Named customer types on the call: Taipower, Taoyuan Airport, Taiwan HSR, TRA and MRT; TSMC, UMC and Micron; Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile and Far EasTone.

Where it sits in the NVIDIA 800 VDC stack

Facility-side AC electrical, not the 800 VDC rack, and not NVIDIA's MV rectifier.

NVIDIA's conversion layer is an MV rectifier or SST taking 13.8–35 kV AC to 800 VDC, then a 5000 A DC board and 1500 A busway into the rack. Allis's disclosed products — MV switchgear, transformers, GIS, STATCOM, UPS, SMR, IDC substations — sit on the AC side of that conversion, or as conventional room UPS. The call never mapped them onto a DC board, an 800 V busway, or a rectifier.

A data center still needs that facility plant, and AI halls are clearly pulling orders: management cited about NT$1bn of IDC-related bookings from telecom and electronics names. That is substation and room electrical, not a Kyber-rail component. Keep Allis as a second-tier medium-voltage / facility read.

Earnings calls
