Who Sitel is

Sitel (7740.TW), 熙特爾-創) is a Taiwanese energy-storage integrator that designs the system, builds the batteries, does the EPC, and then operates the site. Battery manufacturing sits in 55.78%-owned Chenxi Precision, which runs two automated lines in the Taichung Harbor free-trade zone at 1 GWh of annual capacity. EMS software is in-house.

Japan is a 100% subsidiary, ENSO. North America is a set of alliances — Canada's H2, NRG Plus, and AEGIS — rather than a plant.

Business mix

  • Front-of-the-meter storage — ancillary services on Taipower's trading platform, including frequency regulation.
  • Behind-the-meter storage — peak shaving and compliance for large commercial and industrial users.
  • AIDC power — planning through O&M for AI data centers, dispatching grid interconnect, renewables, facility storage, and rack BBUs together.
  • Battery manufacturing and sales — Chenxi Precision, with full cell-to-container automation and serial-number traceability.

Where it sits in the NVIDIA 800 VDC stack

Two layers, both disclosed.

Facility BESS is the existing business: site-level storage that satisfies Taiwan large-load rules and a saturated northern grid. Taipower has stopped approving IDC connections above 5 MW in the north, which management reads as forcing AI operators into self-generation plus self-storage.

Rack BBU is the 800V print. Sitel is taking its 1500 V high-voltage storage platform and stepping it down to an 800 V HVDC BBU aimed at AI data-center backup. That is an explicit 800V product claim, not an inference.

Strategy

Vertical integration plus certifications. Chenxi gives local manufacture and what management calls "zero-latency" service versus foreign battery brands. JC-STAR dual certification on EMS and BMS — first in Taiwan — is the ticket into Japan's balancing market. The shipment targets are 1 GWh+ in 2025, 1.5 GWh+ in 2026, and 3 GWh+ in 2027, with Canada, Europe and ASEAN named for 2027.
