Who Sunonwealth is
Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry (2421.TW) makes fans and thermal solutions, from small device fans up to large infrastructure units, and is moving into liquid cooling. Networking and servers are well over half of revenue, making it a direct read on data-center build rates rather than a diversified industrial.
Business mix
- Networking and servers — around 60% of sales, with AI servers roughly a fifth of the group on their own. Inside that AI bucket, the GPU platform share has been rising against ASIC platforms.
- IT and office equipment — notebooks and peripherals.
- Industrial and medical, automotive, distribution, and home appliance make up the remainder.
Gross margin ranks AI servers and distribution highest, appliances lowest.
Where it sits in the NVIDIA 800 VDC stack
Air movement on the facility side of the bus, not the cold plate on the GPU.
NVIDIA's Vera Rubin generation pairs 800 VDC with 45°C liquid cooling and a liquid-cooled busbar, but heat still has to leave the room, and the equipment doing that increasingly sits on the same high-voltage rail as everything else. Sunonwealth has claimed a globally unique 800 V EC fan, ranging from 20 cm to over 90 cm, with unit prices reaching into the hundreds of dollars, and has said it received enquiries from more than 20 of 34 major infrastructure accounts.
Treat the "only one in the world" framing as a company claim until it appears in the revenue mix. The rest of the business is a conventional, and cyclical, AI-server thermal story.
Strategy
Management's stated long-term growth pair is water cooling plus data-center EC fans rather than the traditional notebook and appliance fan business.
