Who Voltronic is

Voltronic Power Technology (6409.TW) is a design and manufacturing service house for power products — UPS, solar inverters, power converters, and EV chargers — serving more than 500 customers across roughly 100 countries. Its defining policy is that it does not build its own brand, so it never competes with the customers it manufactures for.

Business mix

  • Online UPS — the largest line and the one exposed to AI data centers.
  • Offline UPS — consumer and small-business, more sensitive to tariffs and retail pricing.
  • Inverters — solar and off-grid, the most volatile line, heavily exposed to emerging markets.

Asia is a bit over half of sales, with the Americas and Europe making up most of the rest. That geographic mix means Middle East disruption and US-China tariff shifts show up directly in the numbers.

Where it sits in the NVIDIA 800 VDC stack

Prospectively, in the power supply itself — and the argument rests on transferable engineering rather than a design win.

Management's case is that AI has accelerated the outsourcing of high-power online UPS, because Tier-1 UPS brands are reallocating their own engineers to AI-specific products. On top of that, Voltronic has completed prototype and testing of an HVDC power supply for next-generation AI data centers, citing NVIDIA's Rubin power envelope as the reason 48 V is no longer sufficient.

The technical claim is credible on its face: Voltronic has shipped EV supercharger designs at 400 V, 800 V, and now 1000 V, and NVIDIA's own whitepaper points to the EV industry's high-voltage maturity as the reason 800 VDC is feasible in data centers.

What does not yet exist is a customer, a date, or revenue. Treat this as a capability, not a shipping business.
